"What's a trivet?"  That's what my husband said when I told him I was looking for a trivet.  I couldn't believe he never heard the word or knew what they were!   Now, I'm delighted to be selling these beautiful cast iron trivets!
 
I actually wanted them to put under hot pans or casserole dishes when removing them from the hot stove or oven.   These cast iron trivets can be used this way as they are heat resistant and will protect tables and counter tops from scorching.  The metal is textured (knobby), and will help decrease surface contact.
 
Other uses for these traditional "sunburst" trivets, as shown here, is to give your planters "a lift."  The small feet on the trivets lift the planter up to allow for drainage.   The trivets are made of cast iron with a black powder-coated finish and come in packs of two.
