Many gardeners love to use Sphagnum Moss Liners in their hayrack planters instead of the natural coco liner.  Sphagnum Moss expands to three (3) times its thickness in just minutes!  When moistened, the liner molds itself to the shape of the hayrack, revealing long fibers, as much as 10" long. These fibers add strength, so the liners do not sag between the widely spaced bars of our largest hayracks.

A product of New Zealand, the moss is dried, compressed, and preformed to fit the size of your hayrack planter.  Just add water and carefully unfold the liner.  (Instructions are included on the package for installation.) 

Prized by orchid growers for its high zinc content that reduces the risk of root damage, this sphagnum moss is of exceptional quality from the New Zealand rain forest swamps, farmed according to a management plan by the New Zealand Department of Conservation.  It is a renewable resource that regenerates in 3 or 4 years.
